Many parents have brought up the need for a detailed list of help and support items that families of children in treatment need, a “Family Wishlist” of sorts. The idea is that parents may desperately need help from others, but are reluctant to ask for it. Or their family and friends may simply not know specifically how to help during this difficult time.

OPACC has compiled this list by parents/for parents, of things that parents have told us they would find helpful to have. The goal is that if someone asks how they can help, they can be directed to this list and get specific ideas of how they can do so. You can download this list, edit and customize it according to your family’s particular needs, and then share with your support network.
