OPACC Family Fun Day

Update: Due to overwhelming success with registrations for this event, we are now only accepting registrations to be put on a waiting list in case of any cancellations. Thank you!

OPACC invites families of children affected by childhood cancer to come on out and spend a morning of free family fun, featuring:

Skateboarding Foam pit Food …and more!

When: Saturday, April 13, 2013 from 9:00 a.m.-11:00 a.m. (please arrive promptly starting at 8 a.m. and no later than 8:30 a.m.). Please note that this is not a drop-in, but a scheduled program of activities, so timeliness is important!

Where: C.J. Skateboard Park, 60 Horner Avenue, Etobicoke (http://www.cjskateboardpark.com). Click here for a map as well as driving or public transit directions.

Who: All ages and abilities welcome!

Cost: Free for OPACC members (membership is free; if you are not already a member, you can sign up here)

RSVP: Send an email to info@opacc.org with your name, number of adults and children attending, and the ages of the children. Please note that space is limited, so RSVP as soon as possible!

Important: All participants must bring this waiver on the day of the event and sign it on-site (parents can sign for minors under 18 yrs.)

What to bring: Whenever possible, kids should bring their own safety equipment. For kids aged 13 and under, that includes helmet, elbow and knee pads, and wrist guards. For ages 13+ they require only a helmet. Kids should dress in running shoes and jeans for skateboarding, as jeans help the knee pads stay on better. If a child does not have equipment, they also have some available for rent (OPACC will cover any rental cost). Some scooters will be available for use at the event, however kids are also welcome to bring their own scooters, roller blades, and skateboards.

Food: There is no outside food allowed. Food including pizza, chicken dogs, drinks, and snacks will be available free of charge. Light refreshments will be served starting at 8 a.m.
