OPACC Newmarket parent support group
OPACC is excited to announce details of our Newmarket drop-in, community-based parent support group for families of children with cancer! Beginning October 21, 2013, the group will meet on the third Monday of every month from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Optimist Club of Newmarket location at 56 Forhan Avenue (near Davis Drive and Leslie Street). Volunteers will be available with a craft table at the meetings, so parents are welcome to bring their children!
The group will be facilitated by Nicole Forfar and John Pasternak from OPACC, both of whom are parents who have been affected by childhood cancer. Nicole is also an OPACC Board Member, and many of you may know John as our other Parent Liaison at Sick Kids. The group will serve families in York Region, but all are invited to attend.
