Breast Cancer Screening Can Begin Later in Childhood Cancer Survivors

In female survivors of childhood cancers with a history of chest irradiation, initiation of breast cancer screening at age 30 years may be preferable to the current practice of initiating screening at age 25 years due to cost and quality-of-life factors, according to a new modeling analysis.
