Study is recruiting families with a history of familial pediatric leukemia or lymphoma

We are conducting a study at Weill Cornell Medical College/NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital and Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center entitled “Investigation of the Molecular and Environmental Etiology of Childhood Leukemia through Genomic and Epigenetic Studies of Pedigrees with Familial Leukemia.”

We are recruiting families with familial pediatric leukemia or lymphoma: two or more family members with a diagnosis of either leukemia or lymphoma during childhood. If you know of any individuals/families who may qualify, we would appreciate it if you would please respond to this email, and we will provide you with additional information about the study.

The goal of this research is to clarify the genetic and environmental causes of leukemia through the study of rare families with childhood leukemia. A major priority in childhood leukemia research is gene discovery that will clarify the causes of childhood leukemia, identify personalized cancer treatments, and provide targets to develop new therapies.
